Brig. Munawar Hussain (Retd) has varied experience in technical instructional and administrative fields. He is an established expert in the fields of Mechanical, Computer and Software Engineering. He has maintained an excellent academic record throughout his career. He is an alumnus of Michigan State University. USA. He also graduated from National Defence University, Islamabad. He has a deep understanding of interplay of the various elements of national power. He has established himself as an efficient manager and administrator in NESCOM and is capable of undertaking mega projects and leading them to success. In Pakistan Army, he had served on many important projects like Tank Simulators, performance upgradation of various types of ammunition and spectroscopy. He contributed significantly as Director General. Centre for Net-centric Warfare Technologies (CENTech) while supervising critically important projects. He keeps close liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturer and other users which facilitated in smooth accessibility and deployment of the critical technology. The indigenously development of C4I2 System under his supervision have saved enormous foreign exchange. His entire career is embedded with extraordinary hard work, knowledge of the latest trends and advanced technologies particularly in the field of command and control systems. He also contributed to automation projects of strategic forces. At present, Brig (Retd) Munawar is heading a technical team which has been assigned the task to indigenously develop Operating System.
